During Unite for Earth Day, we try to facilitate earning patches and badges when possible. This is while having fun with education and conservation activities.
We are providing information about the patches/badges we have offered at Unite for Earth Day. Unfortunately, due to space restrictions on our free website, we have removed the detailed steps for earning the patches/badges and are referring you to the source information. Have fun.

2023
Gratitude Patch
This was part of Unite for Earth Day 2023 during our education portion of the event.
Anyone could work on this patch program. It was a free patch from Cabot Creamery as part of their outreach to Scout and other groups.
Patches could be requested directly from Cabot at Gratitude Patch – Cabot Creamery (https://cabotcreamery.com/blogs/health-education/gratitude-patch). But, it looks like the patch is currently not being offered anymore. This may change in the future.
The Gratitude Patch from Cabot Creamery Co-Operative.
Cabot Creamery’s Gratitude Patch focuses on the importance of expressing gratitude in both what one says and through one’s actions. The activities will help kids to focus on, and appreciate, the good things and special people in their lives. Each objective will keep kids engaged while they earn their FREE patch.

Volunteering is a great way to teach gratitude. In general, people who volunteer are more compassionate and feel a sense of community.

B the Change Patch
This was part of Unite for Earth Day 2022 during our education portion of the event.
Anyone could work on this patch program. It was a free patch from Cabot Creamery as part of their outreach to Scout and other groups.

This Patch Program is inspired by the famous Gandhi quote,
“Be the change that you wish to see in the world.”
By completing this Patch Program, you will learn how you can help to make your community stronger, contribute to a healthier world, and support businesses that are not only the best in the world, but best for the world.

Jane Goodall Patch Segment
This was offered at Unite for Earth Day 2022. As part of the Girl Scout "Because of Her" Patch Program, Girl Scout Ambassador Troop 16214 offered the "Jane Goodall" patch segment.
Anyone may work on this program.

This segment is part of the Because of Her Patch Program where we celebrate some of history’s most notable women, ranging from activists to athletes, from scientists to poets. Girl Scouts will learn about a great woman’s impact on the world. Girls will be guided through activities relevant to the notable woman’s story. Each patch ties into the Girl Scout program by showing girls what women of courage, confidence and character are able to accomplish.
Learn about Jane Goodall, the legendary scientist, conservationist, and humanitarian whose groundbreaking discoveries shaped our understanding of what it is to be human and about some of her many efforts to conserve the natural world.

Pollinator Patch
This was part of Unite for Earth Day 2021.

The Pollinator Patch from Cabot Creamery Co-Operative
The Cabot farmers want to teach kids about the importance of pollinators in our communities and practical ways they can help protect and preserve pollinator populations. Kids will complete fun activities and learn what pollinators do, why they are important and how they can help protect pollinators!
